Description

Our trecciato is a truly artisanal neckstrap

Crafted in our workshop with passion, care, and time.

This strap is unique. No one in the world is creating neckstraps like this: from a raw piece of tan leather, we make a complete neckstrap, all handmade and handstitched. But this is just the first part of the work: the strap still has a natural tan color, so we dye each strap manually. Next, we burn and finish the edges, giving an aged look to the leather. Long, very long straps are done in a few samples. Some are even unique.

Available in 2 lengths (when not sold out): 105cm and 123cm ( 41,5 and 48,6 inches); wide: 2cm

Created around a Leica, it also fits other cameras (Fuji, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, old film cameras, etc.).

Each strap includes two round pads to protect the cameras from the ring.

VEGETABLE-TANNED LEATHER. This natural tanning process uses tannin extracted from plants (mimosa, chestnut, quebracho, tara, etc.). Vegetable tannage is an ancient procedure dating back to the prehistoric period, a prolonged process that is considered an art. The formulas used by each Tuscan tannery are a well-kept secret, a result of a careful blending of Tuscan culture and knowledge passed down through the years from father to son.

Each skin is unique: this uniqueness means that it does not have a uniform appearance, which represents the leather quality. The exclusive material is subject to the same wear as the person who uses our half cases; the skin will gradually acquire that worn look that every person gets with life.

Vegetable-tanned leather absorbs the traces of our life; it matures, tans under the sun, reveals the signs of time, and use as the most personal expression of naturalness and truth.

Sustainability: Vegetable-tanned leather is metal-free, natural, and durable.

No animal is killed for its skin. On the contrary, the raw hides used by our tanneries are the discarded by-products of the food industry producing meat for human consumption, which otherwise would have a notable environmental impact at their disposal.
