New Philosophy of Fitting and Construction

Centuries of Italian heritage, skills passed from father to son, and traditional leathercraft meet innovative new practices. By integrating our expertise in shoe design with advanced techniques and materials, we are able to "shape" the leather to the exact form of the camera while keeping it incredibly thin. Through the use of specialized layers and heat treatment, the result is a case that fits like a second skin on your Leica.

VEGETABLE-TANNED LEATHER This natural tanning process uses tannins extracted from plants such as mimosa, chestnut, quebracho, and tara. Vegetable tanning is an ancient tradition dating back to prehistoric times—a slow, meticulous process that is truly considered an art form. The formulas used by each Tuscan tannery are well-kept secrets, the result of a careful blend of local culture and knowledge passed down through generations from father to son.

Each hide is unique. This individuality means the leather does not have a uniform appearance, which is the hallmark of its premium quality. This exclusive material evolves alongside its owner; over time, it develops a rich, distinctive patina—a "lived-in" look that mirrors the experiences of the person who uses it.

Vegetable-tanned leather absorbs the traces of our journey. It matures, tans under the sun, and reveals the signs of time and use as a deeply personal expression of naturalness and truth.
